Any Life Science Graduate [B.Sc/M.Sc (Biology, Micro-Biology, Biotechnology, Bio-Chemistry, Nursing), B.Pharmacy/M.Pharmacy, B.P.T, B.O.T, B.Tech (Biotechnology, Bio Chemistry)].
Should be highly knowledgeable with regards to Medical Coding guidelines and coding techniques (ICD-9, CPT-4, HCPCS, and DRG's).
Should be proficient in physician coding, inpatient hospital coding, outpatient coding and facility coding.
Should be able to review charts for correct admit/discharge dates and entered proper surgery dates.
Code medical records with ICD-9 coding, processing 20 to 25 claims daily while maintaining 95%accuracy.
Process payments, made deposits, and performed other general office duties.
Always comply with PA regulations for coding guidelines and CMS policies.
Proficiency in grasping new technical concepts quickly and utilizing the same in a productive manner.
